More4 and Reboot Britain present a special screening of Us Now in the Palace of Westminster

The crisis of trust in our democracy creates a unique opportunity to re-think the relationship between citizen and State.

Us Now, a documentary about the opportunities for more participative government, brings together some of the world's leading thinkers in this field to discuss the unique possiblities of emerging networks to establish a different kind of democracy.

The screening will be followed by a lively panel discussion in which panelists will discuss Paul Miller's assertion in the film that: "Representative democracy is based on the idea that people are thick."

Panelists:

Lord David Puttnam

Douglas Carswell MP

Ivo Gormley

Rupa Huq

chaired by Catherine Fieschi

About the film:

Us Now takes a look at how an increase in participation based on emerging network structures could transform the way that countries are governed.
